Cinemin Slice Multimedia Pico Projector Audio Dock for iPad, iPhone, and iPod
The Cinemin Slice Projector is one for the dedicated Apple user. It connects to most Apple devices via a docking station in the front of the unit. Non-Apple notebooks, laptops and netbooks connect via a port on the side.
The unit is small, cute and black.
Acer C120 FWVGA DLP Pico Projector, 100 Lumens
This is an excellent lightweight unit that is highly portable. The USB connection will take a variety of digital devices including netbooks and laptops. Acer supplied software including SmartFormat and ColorSafe makes the image, at a contrast ratio of 1000:1, sharp and clear, bright and vibrant.
Optoma PT100, WVGA, 50 LED Lumens, Gaming Projector
The Optoma range is designed more for gaming than business use as well as projecting movies. A range of video and sound inputs cater for a wide range of input devices. Screen resolution of 854×480 is not the greatest but is adequate for all but the very latest games.
Optoma GT200, 150 Lumens, All-in-One LED Gametime Projector (Black)
Again this Optoma is specifically designed for gamers. It has speakers, and a remote, and supports Blu-Ray, most gaming consoles, IPhones and many other electronic devices. Especially good in big screen mode.
A higher resolution and ease of use make it a serious recommendation for gamers.
FAVI RioHD-LED-2 Mini Projector with 100″ Picture
The FAVI RioHD-LED-2 Mini Projector is worthy of serious consideration. A variety of input formats, including HDMI, and A/V make it a serious contender for travelers and road warriors. Light at under three pounds and well designed, it offers a bulb lifetime of fourteen years. Output supports 1080p so you can watch HD TV and movies. It also has a remote control allowing configuration from a distance.
One to look at.
FAVI RioHD-LED-3 Portable LCD Projector
The FAVI Entertainment LED-3 Mini Projector is an affordable unit, similar to the FAVI Entertainment LED-2 Mini Projector. It offers more input options and speakers.
If the budget allows, a better option than the FAVI Entertainment LED-2 Mini Projector
3M MP225a Mobile Projector
This a pocket sized projector, battery driven with an operating life of up to 2 hours. Fully compatible with Apple devices, it supports movies and presentations from your Apple laptop or smartphone.
The device is easy to manage with play/pause, volume control and mute buttons. The out screen size can be adjusted from 10 inches to eighty inches without loss of clarity.
AAXA P4 P4X Pico Projector, 125 Lumens with 90 Minute Battery Life, Pocket Size, 15,000 Hour LED Life, Mini-HDMI, Mini-VGA, Media Player, DLP Projector
This is a neat device offering an hour and a quarter of battery powered use per single charge. It supports most interfaces and connection types, and drives a screen up to 100 inches in size. It is small and portable and is ideal for the professional and occasional user alike
3M Streaming Projector Powered by Roku (SPR1000)
This is a step up from the projectors we have seen thus far – it includes WiFi support for streaming images from Roku as well as providing interfaces for most media devices. I suspect that some geeks may be able to use the WiFi interface for other streaming services. Small enough to fit in a briefcase, it will project images up to 120 inches. The rechargeable battery will operate for around two and a half hours.
A good buy.
AAXA P300 Pico/Micro LED Projector, WXGA 1280×800 Resolution, 300 Lumens, Pocket Size, HDMI, Mini-VGA, 15,000 Hour LED Life, Media Player, DLP Projector
Small enough to fit in a laptop case, and weighing a fraction over a pound, the AAxa KP-600-01 will project vibrant images through its 15000 hour rated LEDs in screen sizes up to 120 inches. It has been well received in review by professionals, students and home users alike. It provides up to 1280×800 HD resolution, and offers HDMI, VGA, Micro USB and AV Units. It runs on mains power, but there is an option for an internal rechargeable battery.
A nice touch is the adjustable tripod that comes with it.
